It wasn’t that long ago when the fashion world fell madly in love with the gladiator sandals, marking the debut of a hauntingly controversial affair that would last for years. While some may still hold a grunge against the summer-ready shoe trend, others moved on and are now ready to embrace a slightly different approach, keen on emphasizing the edginess of the cutaway detailing, especially when it comes to boots.
The gladiator boots were spotted all over the spring 2013 runways, being carried across within various luxurious reinterpretations and asserting what appears to be another stand-out footwear trend. Calf-high or knee-high, playing upon classic notes or rather cutting-edge features, the cutaway boots represent the equivalent of a well-chosen little white dress that’s meant to be flaunted during the beautiful days of spring and summer.
