Like or hate Snowden he has brought about a national discussion of this very important topic. Is the american public ok with being spied ? Will it really keep us safe? What is your opinion of this program?

In view of the fact that we have acquired such a great number of enemies, lilwonders, I think that we need all the help we can get. I am at a loss as to why so many people are afraid of being spied upon. Why do we ascribe to ourselves such importance? I feel that we have more important things to be worried about than our government spying on us.

Personally it bugs me greatly. Why? Well because we are suppost to be country of the brave and the free. It's not sounding that way to me. Also any power given to the government WILL be misused or abused. Look at Hoover.

"Will it keep us safe".......perhaps, perhaps not (I lean towards more than perhaps not)...the greater question is, what are we willing to trade for that perceived safety? (nothing) Or what of questioning what it is that we need to be "safe" from and why we wound up unsafe in the first place? My opinion is that it's an abomination. It is a perfect example of what we get when we have "bipartisanship". It's what we get when we vote for statists. It's what we get when people don't realize that they are voting for statists because "they have the right letter next to their name".

this scares the heck out of me. not only it is unconstitutional. but you KNOW it is going to be "Hoovered". This is a power the government shouldnt have because any power the government gets WILL be abused.
