Have you guys and gals ever heard of radiation protection clothes?

In China,Radiation protection clothes is the pregnant woman necessary outfit,due to many pregnant women have to face the computer every day.
However when i searched the information on internet.It shows a very different answer....-_-
"Wearing the radiation protection clothes is bad for your health,it just a gimmick to make consumers buy their products"
Have you guys and gals ever heard of radiation protection clothes?
Does it really work?

The only thing I know of is the apron we wear at the dentist. In the chair during xray radiation they leave the room and we get a heavy shielding gown that would be much to heavy to wear.
Aluminum foil is not as heavy, might reflect light but that is about it. I think a better monitor/computer placement is needed.
