Why is World infamous Alcatraz jail (spooky indeed) charged only 12 dollars

Ofcourse this costs nearly 540rs,but compare it with Bloody Ramoji film studio which charges nearly 300.Alcatraz as every one would agree is once in a life time experience.this monument located just 20min boat ride away from the city of San Francisco has won all the acclaims.Ramoji(which claims to once in a life time experience) was one of my worst outings ever.Do You Agree With This?
