Why do they sterilize the needle for lethal injections?

that's a good question. it doesn't really matter , now does it! that's just one of those thing that don't make any sense.

Hmmmmm... I could think of a million questions like this....
For example why does a person get executed for killing 4 people but a person who sets fire to a cabin full of people "accidentally" goes free with only 2-5 years in prison.?

I didn't know they did, but maybe because in case the person doing the injection slipped and stuck themselves with the needle they would want it sterilized. Otherwise, I'm not sure why it would matter.

I never really thought of it...it really shouldn't matter..what they should do is give them any old needle they find and use that for the injection...

because inorder not spread infection from one person to other.normally if care is not taken then there will be spreading of infection.
