Where Does It Say than #John (the #Gospel-Writer) Is "the #Disciple whom Jesus Loved"?

Pastor Rick mentioned in his sermon today (at Bethany First Church of the Nazarene) how John claimed to be 'the disciple whom Jesus loved.' Where did he make this claim, and why do we assume he meant 'the ONLY disciple whom Jesus loved'?

The text I read always said to the "other or another disciple that he loved." To me that means he loved them all. I think you can love more than one person but you might favor one over another like me daughters. One is easier to live with in some respects than the other but the second born is better in other ways that is also commendable. One doesn't take as much attention.

And would each of your daughters claim to be "the one her parent loves" when talking about your family to others?
