What is your traditional foods?

hello there,
im from indonesia my country has many traditional foods,one of them that i wanna share is "rujak".
rujak is food which contains many fruit and vegetables such as pineapple,cucumber,manggo,and many more with peanut sauce,rujak has spicy and sour tastes.i think rujak is like spicy salad

That dish sounds really quite yummy. What is in it to make it spicy? Is it the spices in the sauce, or are there chilis/peppers in it of some sort?
It is hard to pin down a traditional "american" food, as this country is such a melting pot for so many cultures, and they have all worked their way into our menus, so instead i will share with you what i am making for dinner tonight. I will be making an eggplant Parmesan with a side of pasta/tomato sauce. The eggplant is dipped in egg and seasons bread crumbs, then lightly fried to a golden brown on both sides before being placed in the oven and baked until the eggplant becomes creamy and soft, then topped with some tomato sauce and italian cheese....will probably also have a nice garden salad on the side as well.

yeah there are some chili,but the chili has been pulverized with the sauce
