Seriously, what the heck happened to games and T.V?

I have known and seen ten year olds, even SEVEN YEAR OLDS, playing games like, " Call of Duty" and " Black Ops" and they are both rated 17+. Their mothers have no problem with that! And I have no problem with a 9 or 10 year old playing something like " Minecraft" or something a little LESS VIOLENT. I think many children get addicted to these games, and it needs to stop.
