I have this friend who is always wondering what and why is life. She does not have a life goal, all she does everyday are eating, working and sleeping. Life is OK with her, I mean she can pay the rent, she buys new clothes, she eats at nice restaurants, but she does not know what to do with her life! she can not be continuing like this for another year! because if she continues, she wll be all like this even 20 years later! She realizes this so she whines a lot and she does think about change, but she is lazy! once it's started she might be able to do it, but the problem is she can never ever get it started! GOD, shine light upon her and point out a direction for her, tell her what to do with herself!

well, at least she is taking care of herself and her responsibilities, and doing such herself, while ALSO realizing she wants more out of life. Sound to me like she just needs some encouragement and support to figure out what she fully wants in her future.

Lazy people will never get what they want. Setting a goal means knowing your passion as a person. But not all goals will end up successfully. Sometimes you will fail and when that happens, don't give up.. try new things over and over again until you will find one that is right for you..

With the passage of time, she will come to terms with the reality of life. She would come to know that without a goal in her life, life will go hay wire. Let her learn from own mistakes and experience, it is no use guiding her about her future.

Apparently, this lady friend of yours is the thinking type, which I think is good. To familiarize herself with philosophy would, would it not, be a good idea. However, she would need to do a lot of reading. Regularly. Which, I think, would be a good start. And also hard work in an effort to use time better, perhaps, than before.
