Ever heard the story of a race between the Hare and Turtle? It’s a story of an overwhelming confidence of the Hare and the confident Turtle that he can somehow find a way to win the race! And then a long shot won that race, it was the Turtle!
The moral of the story is not to be over confident in everything you do, to much of it will affect your focus and lack of it will certainly lower your self esteem. Therefore your confidence must be enough to boost your energy and focus to your task, otherwise you will fail.
How do you know you have the right amount of confidence in you? It is when you feel that you can do it while your heart is beating fast, and the adrenaline flows out to your body. Imagine you are taking the examination and you know you prepared well enough to give you confidence, your heart will beat a bit faster than normal and you are very eager to the point that your ear is heating up and your adrenaline starts to flow in your body, that’s confidence! And it is the right one or amount!
So next time you have a task at hand, always remember to feel confident and prepare for it without losing your focus, and everything will sure falls to its right place.
