Well what would a five year old child be doing in that place all alone?

This is kinda tricky. If it was happening in a horror film, you would yell "DON'T STOP, YOU FOOL!" to the top of your lungs to the screen. If it was in real life, under "normal circumstances", I would stop and immediately call the police. It IS a five year-old, after all.

@rackenspot That's exactly what I mean by "tricky". Your logical side would yell "It's a TRAP!" (I mean, why is she on the middle of the road? I smell ambush) but, since it's just a little girl, I wouldn't be able to keep going without checking if she's ok or asking for help. I guess that's why people on horror films are so "stupid". Now, if I've been running away from a haunted house or had evil spirits lurking behind me, of course I wouldn't stop, haha!

How would you know the situation is normal and not another scary moment or dangerous trap :)

I'd help her and call the police. For all we know she could be a missing child who has escaped from her abductors and that's why she's there. I'd rather risk my life than ignore the girl and have something bad happen to her because of it.

It is the demand of humanity to help the children because the children are innocent.Starry heaven above and the vouce of conscience below are a positive proof of the existence of God.
Thanks

Yes, why not? Maybe the kid is in some kind of trouble and needs help.
