How old were you when you first came to MyLot?

I was away for what it seems like years and now that I'm back, I just realized: wow, I was 15 when first started MyLot! That was five years ago and I loved it: I could talk A LOT about A TON of interesting and different subjects without being shushed or ignored. I could meet new people that had my same interests and they would be friends from all over the world. Honestly, the money wasn't a big deal 'cause I thought I could never get to $10, haha!
So, how old were you when you first started here? And what did you love the most then?

after what it seems like a long long time , i am back now. at that time, i was addicted to visiting here, for one thing, i could meet different people from all over the world and learn more about different cultures. for another , i could learn some new words from native speakers. more importantly, i wanted to check if i was speaking standard english. that was really a good time.

I feel exactly like you do. I was addicted to this and loved it because I could practice my writing and my comprehensive reading in English. It's been a little hard adjusting to the new format of the web page but I think I'll be able to get it down in no time.

@Haylie2610 I was the same as you for writing was and still is on the top of my list but I've come to realize that writing can change and adjust to different formats.

According to my profile, I've had this ID for 3 years. But I remember that--before that--I had aNOTHER account here that I bugged up with ka-razy keywords (or something).
That profile might still have some discussions here ("mythman," if you wanna look `em up.) And I don't know how long I had that on here (could be one year, could be five).
What I liked most was 'debating things you can never prove or disprove' (the existence of God, inherent good, etc.)

That is not true. You can prove the existence of God.

@Bluedoll No, you can't. You can 'use God as the explanation to anything you cannot logically explain,' just as they did with illnesses until they 'discovered' viruses

@mythociate Yes I can.
I am not trying to explain something I can not understand.
I can agree that this is true for anyone who has a belief that God does not exist.

Wow, I was 24 years old that time. It was 2012 and I was single that time. I was doing myLot after shifts as part of my stress reliever while making money online. Now that I have 2 kids,I thought it will be better to do it while I also take a look at thme while looking after our Printing Shop :)

Back then ............... I was a little younger than I am now but I remember thinking oh at last, I've found a place where I can interact with other people and also make some money. That was important to me because I was coming from a web site that was abusive. It still is as I've gone back there again and made a few posts.
The idea that people could be nice instead of mean appealed to me most but the idea that I could make a little money was the icing on the cake. I also felt the same as what you described here in this post, no pressure other than to just post away.

Oh, and what web site was that? Internet can be a really mean and closed world, but one must remember that this isn't real life: you can take the good and ditch the bad really easy.

@Haylie2610 Exactly what web site? I'll take your advice and go that route. Keep the good and forget the bad.

I really can't accept the fact that they're changing everythin here in this site, especially the earning part _
