No one faces the terrible things "unafraid of them" (unless someone just flies into the terrible things without knowing about `em first).
You're never afraid of the dark until you learn about the kinds of things that lurk around & JUMP OUT AN` GETCHA!

You never think jumping off a high-level will hurt in landing (especially if you've played enough SUPER MARIO BROS.-type video-games) until you jump off a high-level & land without bending your knees.
The difference between people who "brave" the terror & those who hide from it, is that the 'brave' know WHY they are afraid of the thing and know that they're strong enough to take it!
