how to dry herbs?

It is usually very simple. Gather the herbs when they are dry (free from rain or dew), tie them in bunches and enclose the bunches in paper bags (not plastic), tying the bags around the stems of the herbs. Hang the bunches by the stems in a warm place out of direct sunlight. The herbs will be dry in a few days and can be crumbled straight into the bags and then decanted and stored in airtight containers.
