Why do you celebrate such an evil event such as Halloween?

The Bible says that if a person believes one day is more special than another, we should respect it. If a person believes all days are the same, we should respect it. It appears holidays have no real bearing on Christianity.
I've heard the accusations against Halloween but I've never been shown proof. I've spent quite a bit of time trying to find it, too. The articles I have found only offer opinion.
The truth is Halloween has a pagan and superstitious origin but not evil or demonic. As a matter of fact, the first people to recognize Halloween were trying to avoid evil. On top of that, the modern holiday is simply one of fun for kids of all ages. And to be honest, many Halloween traditions are based on Christian practices.

I see friends having fun, they are really saying I love you. I agree everything in this world has gone upside down. There are many people sharing joy with others and giving children candy but at the same time so much ugliness surrounding halloween. I agree with you that we need to understand and know there are bad things out there. Another pagan ritual is a ring. To most people however they have one and wear it with deep love and sincerity. Maybe it is today that is important and what we really feel in our hearts. God is alive and good. :-)
