As a teacher I can say the information learned is not most important early but teaching how to learn how to cope how to discern. Students will learn the information they choose to learn from environment and parents. In school early we should teach them how to read and write and calculate beyond that everything else is extra.

@Sourceseeker I agree with teaching our kids how to read and right is a must, yet by 2016 60% of high school graduates will not be able to read and right at a high school level. It seems that literacy of americans is not the focus or goal of public schools as a whole. Then when documents that mislead children as to the government roles are put in the place of documents such as the Constitution and Declaration of Independence is borderline suspect. Yet to eliminate the only means to read those same documents by not teaching cursive writing along with removing U.S. History totally from curriculum is in personal opinion "Criminal Intent" to keep the general public ignorant, uneducated, and unaware of personal Rights given to us by those same documents. Not judging you in any way for your job, I applaud your dedication in what would have to be a hard job. Given the Political goals that exceed common sense and the public's education

Just a little indoctrination of our kids, not to mention 4-6 are incorrect anyway. But I guess thats what happens when you have company from England supplying school work! Thanks Pearson!!

Yes! I vote for homeschooling. It requires discipline. Thomas Edison was withdrawn from school and his mother taught him at home.
