My wife and I have an idea and we need all the help we can get. You can help by either contributing to our fundraising campaign or by spreading the word to anyone that you know who may be able to help. The link to the fundraising campaign is here:
My wife and I have thought for a long time about opening up a safe place where young people (and anyone else for that matter) can come to enjoy their time with friends and family while also enjoying some great homemade desserts and coffee, tea and fresh squeeze lemonade. We have researched locations in our area and have found a place where there used to be a coffee shop. That coffee shop is a place that is special to me because I spent many days there with my own friends, but due to the downturn in the economy several years ago, it had to close. I would love to re-open this location so that people can have a great place to go just like I did!
The atmosphere that we have envisioned is one with comfortable tables and chairs for patrons as well as some welcoming leather sofas surrounding a big screen television. This area would also be a place where we would like to host a community game night or Nintendo Wii Bowling tournament to raise money for local charities. There would also be a place for local bands to set up to provide live music.
In addition to the atmosphere, we would like to bring some family recipes for desserts and share them with the area. My father has been baking delicious red velvet cakes and other yummy desserts for a very long time. We would provide cakes served by the slice in addition to cookies and brownies. We will also be serving a variety of coffees and other beverages.
Our vision for this coffee shop is that it would be a comfortable place for everyone to come and relax together. I hope that you will consider contributing to this dream of ours! If you're in our area, hopefully soon you will be able to stop in and say hello and see what you have helped make a reality! Thank you so much for stopping by!
