I got a very personal experience during the devastation of Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan). It implicated the various scenarios in the Philippine journalism and somehow many aspects had been affected. I believe delivering the 'NEWS' should be right and precise to navigate properly the readers, viewers and listeners; and for them to pick up the substance of the news in the interest of the public, government/private entities and those people involved the topic should always be convincingly factual and authentic.
Those wrong speculations as deemed by no less than educated people in journalism industry against those equally proficient journalists are tantamount to be bombarded; people are witnesses so as the modern ways & means of communication are various aspects that worsen this thing. Accept the fact that simple comment and statement serve as accusations, yet these are unjust to a man who did his job so well in reporting the event - and so it really provoked criticism and rough treatment in the end if the wrong interpretation commenced. The enormous sided people in the industry of journalism must ask an apology to the public in order to cease the issue abruptly from now on, so that the truth shall always prevail.

You write well and your ideas are well explained. For the benefit of the non-informed it would be helpful to also include more info such as "wrong speculations" - which ones? "accusations" - example? "wrong interpretation"- specific to? I understand your reasoning but not educated to what is happening in the news on this subject as much as I perhaps should be.

Generally the topic focused on an issue happened in the Philippines. This was so sensitive issue that I remained not specifying those people and things which caught my attention too. There was a conflict happened in between our local female reporter of ABS CBN and CNN reporter male broadcaster/reporter, so in this regards, I wasn't able to specify those people involved most especially mentioning their names are not my purpose. This is for the benefit of their personal interest indeed.

@boboypete Thanks for responding. You can of course include or not include info as you see fit. I got the general idea of your article and appreciate the writing of it. One good thing I like about the internet is the ability to express freely.
