The 15th day of the first lunar month is the Lantern Festival in China. In this day, people are used to hang the big red lantern outside the door,children play the color lantern,while adults enjoy the sight of various lantern in the street. It's written that the lantern appeared in the Lantern Festival 3000 years ago. In Tang Dynasty, lantern was connected with Buddhism by the state ,so lighting lantern become apart of The official etiquette in the Lantern Festival. There are different Color lantern in different area, farmer use pumpkin making lantern in north of shan'xi province, but Beijing is the capital of China, lantern is often made in the style of imperial palace lanterns.
