Should I Hire a design build contractor or an Architect ?

It is better to Hire an architect although they are very expensive.The plans coming from a design build contractors lacks Quality.But it is fine if you choose those building contractors with good designers.The plan of my home were designed by design build contractor based in toronto,Silverado Custom Homes.I trusted them because i knew they had quality architects and designers.
