What kind of gift do men like?

I want to give my dad and brother a present for Christmas, but I am clueless when shopping for men. Last year I went with a tie, but only because I couldn't think of anything else. My brother is rather spoiled and I'm afraid he won't like anything I get him.

HI cupkitties, I fully understand how difficult it can be giving gifts to people that may not like anything, or have most everything the want already. Since they probably are not easily satisfied, I would most likely give them something "I" would like for them to have. This sounds a little strange, but pleasing them is just as probable with a gift you would prefer them to have. This way, you have not racked your brain trying to guess what they would like, and keep, and you will be far less hurt if they did not use, or keep the gift. If they love it, you will be pleased. Just a weird thought from me. Happy shopping!

I would say cologne or if they are serious sports fans, a jersey for their favorite team. If you live in a colder climate, a scull cap or gloves are always a great gift idea.

The human male is a practical beast, so I would give them something to do (or something to make whatever they're already doing easier). Do they 'play sports' (bowling, golfing, billiards)? Buy them something to enable them in that (credit with a bowling-alley, rounds on a golf-course, billiard-table &/or billiard-equipment) They watch sports? Tickets to their favorite games! Work on cars? Tools for that! etc.
