When i was homeless, I had one man ask me why I was homeless. Before he would let me answer, he said I am homeless because I use drugs. I had one man, with a shoulder bag with a laptop with him walk by and say "Sorry, I don't have any money!" He is dressed up nicely and has a laptop and he has no money? I have had people throw money at me! Those who beg are getting to use intimidation. I learned that from talking to a security guard who works at a fast food place in Chicago. Not everyone has the best intentions towards others. I have had people tell me that I am wrong for what I write. Those who say that believe that everyone has only good intentions. They must not have been victims of crime. I know that there are good people out there. There are also bad people as well. When I was homeless, I had bought a laptop for my work to help me get back on my feet. I had and still have people come up to me first only because of my laptop, begging aggressively indoors and getting mad when I said no. Not everyone who begs needs to. I do talk to people who do beg. I have had people tell me that they have given money to people who weren't homeless, one person was offered a job but refused because he loves getting free money without working hard for it. One person had someone come right to their own home holding a receipt from a bank that they could have gotten from the garbage. Something needs to be done to stop people who are intimidating others when they go out to eat and the police need to make it clear to those who beg what is acceptable and what isn't! Next people will get attacked because they love getting free money without working hard for it.
