I have moved numerous times. I have a couple of suggestions. One pack a box or two of necessities for each room. For example a couple of pots and pans silverware and a few dishes for the Kitchen. Make sure you write on each box what room they go in. Not only will it help you when you go to unpack, it will help whoever is helping you move to know what room it goes in

Congratulations on your new home. Good thing that you have already started your packing, I just hate the thought of packing and keeps it for the last moment due to which one thing or the other will always be left out. Last time we moved(which was four years ago) I found an old cardboard box in the attic. I had no idea what it contained so I started searching it. Turned out it contained a collection of old photos of me, Todd, our parents, old friends. I had actually planned to throw away everything in the attic, but decided to keep it. It was too much valuable to throw away just like that. If you want tips on moving check out this.
