Well actually it depends...when you respond to a discussion it depends on the quality of your response.....if your answer is just a one word one or if it has good content justifying your answer....and also you earn more if your answer is rated positive or if you get selected best response.....when you start a discussion again it depends as to what kinda discussion it is....If you want a yes or no answer you dont gain much and you also go against mylot guidelines...and also the higher the number of responses you get more...and if you continue a single response by adding comments on both sides both of you get paid more...but since we dont know as to how mylot decided good and bad quality you never know how much you will get...

Well ya that s true....you dont respond to your own discussions....you comment to keep it going....everytime you comment the discussion goes to the recent discussions and since a large number of people are on this section they look at your discussion and hence you have a larger chance of getting responses...
