GoDaddy is a good site that has been around a long time and I started some of my websites with them 13 years ago. Let me give you a tip on what I like to use them. I have basically have affiliate websites and use only a homepage or call it landing page for my affiliate websites. So if you already have a website and switch with them, purchase only the personal hosting service from them, which gives you a few pages for only $1.00 per month. And if you don't have a domain name you can buy a .com from them for about $12.00 and would get a free web page. So basically you would have a domain name paid for one year, plus a free website! One time I went for a deal through the internet where you get a domain name and a website for $1.00. I didn't realize the next 11 months would be $12.00 a month for the website, so watch out for those deals on the internet. With a lot of those hosting companies you don't know how good their service is. And what if one of these small time companies goes out of business? Where does that leave you and your business? That's why it's also best to stick around with a company which has been around a long time. As I said before I basically use one home page for my affiliate websites such as Amazon, because that's all I need. I make a few links displaying some relevant products on Amazon and then a direct link to my affiliate website. If you want to display more products and would like more web pages, then you can get a deluxe website where you can host unlimited websites, unlimited disk space and 500 email addresses. Plus you get $100.00 Google Adwords credit, $100.00 Bing Ads credit and $50.00 Facebook Ad Credit! The next plan is the ultimate which gives you 1,000 email address and the same advertising credits from the three companies as the deluxe hosting plan. The ultimate plan costs only $7.99 per month and you get a few more extras with it. As you can see both deluxe and ultimate hosting plans are a good bargain for the price if youâre looking to have a larger website. Plus they have very little downtime and to create a website is very easy to do. What I also like about them is that you can make your own blog right in your own website with their website design software with just a click of the button!
They have a search engine optimization program which I think is a good monthly value. Although I wrote in a previous article about not to pay a monthly fee, I was basically referring to the ones that charge you 30 plus dollars a month. But GoDaddy makes it very affordable at just $2.99 per month for one website. You can submit to the major sites at just the click of a button. You will also get reports in the changes of your search engines rankings as well as a keyword generator tool. So I would say itâs well worth the $2.99 a month if you don't want to buy your own SEO software program. It may not have all the features as your own SEO program, but it would help you. Especially some of you who are just starting out and have limited funds to get your website promoted.
GoDaddy also has a domain auction site where you can sell your domains through them. This can be profitable if you select a good domain name. They also offer you a free domain name appraisal to let you know the market value of your website. This is a good way in determining your selling price for your domain name. Go to GoDaddy below and check out their site and see even more available services they offer to get your website business up and running quickly.
A little secret for those of you who do not know how to choose a good domain name for your website, try to get a domain name which has a keyword in the domain name. This will help you score higher with the search engines. I'll use an example on one of my websites. I have one website which I sell cat foods and various other products, so my website address is www.onlinecatproducts.com. Do you see what I'm getting at? Instead of making my website a business name such as johnsplace.com, I used a relevant keyword in my domain name for what I'm selling. Doing this will help your site rank a lot better in the search engines because I know it works for me.
You can check out one of my sites and see how I make a basic affiliate site. You can also find a GoDaddy link at the right side of the bottom of page, where you can get discounts using that link.
