Golfing is Not as Easy as it Seems
Although I personally never played golf, except miniature golf from time to time, my stepson and next door neighbor are quite active with this sport. I was amazed to see how good and accurate they are, especially at long distances. I commend anyone who plays golf because I think that it is a hard sport to play. Some people just think you just hit the ball and it goes in a little hole, but they should try it themselves! I did try it with my step son, but I was so far off with my aim it wasn't funny. He seems to make it look easy though and he's only 21 years old and my next door neighbor is 80! So based on this age differential it's very fair to say that golf is a sport for all ages. My next door neighbor still plays even after having both knees replaced. He says that this sport keeps him in shape and he stays very healthy playing golf with his son on Sundays. He practices all week long in the back yard and I like going outside and watching him. I think this game is all about what type of clubs you use, having a proper stance and being exactly precise on how you hit the ball having the perception on how far the hole is away from you. I'm sure there are many other factors related to being a good golf player and it takes lots of practice to perfect your skill. There are some out there who seem to be just gifted. How about how young and good Tiger Woods was when he just started out. I'm not saying that he never practiced, but look how he went up against the seasoned pros. I am kind of that way with an electric guitar.
My neighbor and stepson tell me having a good set of golf clubs is a plus, but if you really don't know how to play, it wouldn't make a difference if you spent $10,000 on a set. But for someone who enjoys this sport having a nice set of golf clubs is very special to them and for the die-hard sports fan almost sacred.
