What Does God Say About...?

Hi. My name is Del. I am new to posting in this way, but I am very excited about the potential to express thoughts about virtually any subject on this forum! I am a firm believer in the deity of Christ. I have studied the Bible-the authoritative Word of God-for several years. I have also worked closely with homeless ministries/outreaches here in Portland, Oregon for many years. A unique blend of academic study of the word paired with a very real interaction with hurting, needy people has helped me develop a narrative which I am confident will help many people approach sensitive-even controvercial topics-with a balance of sensitivity and sensibility. I'm not certain of how frequently I'll be able to post new articles, but I do believe that what I share here will have a positive, life-changing impact on someone, and perhaps many persons. Feel free to "Follow" my posts! I am not so thin-skinned that I can't field difficult-even dissident responses. Also, I am not afraid to admit when I am not completely certain of an answer, or when I just don't have an answer at all. I only know that I can't help but try to speak to the "issues of life" as they are presented. I'll try not to step on any toes, but I won't be apologizing for the counsel I offer as I understand it from the word of God. Take it or leave it-after all, it is free! The worst that could happen is you might leave with a fresh perspective!

@DNelson01 Many who have studied these cultures wondered why God took so long to execute them. God is very patient but his patience has a limit (think the flood, the execution of the Egyptians, etc.)

@Bluedoll I am afraid that God does kill. Look at what is going to happen to the wicked in Revelation. He does it for our own good and we are the ones who choose to be killed. He has given us the choice to live or die.
