Coffee plants are found in more than 70 countries around the world, but mainly can be found in Latin America, Asia, and Africa. Some of the places the best coffee beans are believed to come from are Brazil, Ethiopia, Columbia, Hawaii, and Indonesia. You can even find these coffee beans locally with the local Oklahoma coffee roasters at 7th Avenue Roastery. Currently, Brazil is the largest coffee producing country in the world accounting for about a third of the world's coffee bean production. The climate in Brazil is ideal for producing coffee beans, but some may not agree that the best coffee comes from Brazil. Though Brazil wins the award for producing the most coffee, coffee does not originate from there. Ethiopia is actually home to the Arabica tree, or "the coffee tree" and is considered one of the world leaders when it comes to producing quality coffee beans. Ethiopia is also the largest coffee producer in all of Africa. When it comes to the best coffee beans, Columbia comes in first place. Because of the high altitude and tropical temperatures, beans from Columbia are not only the best in South America, but some consider it the best around the world. It might come as a surprise to some, but Hawaii is actually known for their great tasting coffee. The tropical state is not known for producing large amounts, but it is believed that because of the volcanic ash, large amounts of rain and the hot sun, the coffee produced there is some of the best. Indonesia also produces some high-quality coffee, mostly due to the humid climate that is ideal for growing great coffee beans. They have some advanced systems in Indonesia that has helped them grow their beans in remote places such as Java. Surely people have referred to a cup of coffee as a "cup of Java", that is because of the great-tasting coffee that comes from this humid country. All the countries where quality coffee beans are produced have some key similarities. That is because there are ideal conditions for growing coffee plants. As pointed out above, coffee beans must be grown at high altitudes in a tropical climate that also has rich, porous soil. To try some of delicious beans roasted to perfection, check out
