SILENCE IS THE GREATEST WISDOM, BY IT WE CAN HEAR THE OTHER MEN'S IMPERFECTIONS, AND CONCEAL OUR OWN.

A judicious reticence is hard to learn, but it is one of the great lessons of life. People are generally outspoken. The wise people take the advantage of this weakness of men of little wit. SOMEONE HAS RIGHTLY SAID, HAVE MORE THAN YOU SHOW AND SPEAK LESS THAN YOU KNOW.It is a common misunderstanding of the common people that by speaking too much, we will be respected much whereas the wise dislike it too much. I am not saying that everytime the wise keep their lips closed but they speak when it is necessary. The wise have a great sense what to say? when to say? IT IS BETTER TO TALK WISELY THAN TO TALK TRASH. It is great misfortune neither to have enough wit to talk well nor judgement to be silent. SILENCE IS THE PERFECTEST HERALD OF JOY TOO.

Thank you very much for a good response. Silence, when nothing need to be said is the eloquence of discretion.
