WWE stars get animated day jobs in 'Slam City'

WWE Slam City, a collaboration between the WWE and toy company Mattel, launches today as a stop-motion animated series aimed at youngsters ages 6 to 9 that puts a real-world spin on John Cena, the Big Show, Rey Mysterio and other fan favorites.
Action figures and playsets tied to Slam City, which airs 26 two-minute episodes this year, are out in stores now. Merchandise including apparel, accessories, back-to-school products, graphic novels and coloring books are slated for release later in 2014, with a mobile game, home goods, stationery and other items out next year.
