The next day I woke up with so much difficulty and frustration(honestly I never got used to that early waking up habit).Got dressed and wore matching nail polish( I am a nailpolish freak, I always wore nail colors matching with the dress. Then I got into bus and survived a 2 hour journey ...my only comfort was having sai next to me.We shared our breakfast,I love her mom bread omelette..yummy yummy(I mostly got apples for breakfast as my dad believed that I was eating at the canteen).Next day was no different than the first day, First was physics class( I guess),I started listening everything word by word, taking notes( acting studious :P but I swear till now I never asked doubt in any subject to any teacher).Half the time I kept myself busy with my mobile(I got my first mobile only after joining college...It was a LG basic model...still I was happy to have something rather than not having anything). I got to know many people that day...but still I dint get any group of friends(I always feel comfortable in a group).Looking around...I found many people had already formed their own group and having fun.(I was looking out of window and cursing my fate "how am I going to spend 4 years in this damned place). Then 5 hours went in a daze.Time for lunch...I was waiting in queue for my turn to get food...I noticed a short girl from my class standing next to me,so I introduced myself in a really weird way.I was like " Hey you are sangeetha from my class na...do u remember my face...I am charanya." (She was equally weird). She responded...yea I am sangee,I know you blah blah....!! We got our food ,It was some rice, vegetables and some pickle(I know It sounds weird..still those were the only edible stuff worth eating without falling sick). It was so tough to get out of class and walk freely coz we were the freshers, guys ll always be standing outside our entire corridor to rag.So we always used to go to some place in groups and come back in groups to avoid uncomfortable situations. After lunch It was as usual sleepy madness.Again got into bus at 3.10 and happy to go back home. Usually during my first year I always hang out with my friends in evening before going home, that day I went out with my 2 besties adithya(we r no more in contact these days) and pri!!!We used to hang out at juice shops...chaat shops...go for walks and then back home. The next day at college,we got a new student in our class, her name was vidhya..she actually changed her department from EEE to ECE. First day she came, she looked so sad and depressed, that time I dint have time for my problems so din't bother to care about her story. As usual everything passed in a blur because asha was extremely silent and just occupied with her own work(but Am very curious about everything and a lil nosy). Two noth indians were sitting in the second row( right behind us). They were the talk of college, even they enjoyed the attention and always jabbering something something(duh). Sangee and I started getting pretty close by that time.We always discussed about how bad our coll was,how to change college, where to get admission, talking about movies, different novels. As days passed sangee started talking to vidhya and changed her place also next to vidhya. So even i started talking to vidhu.(Happie to get another friend).Asha, vidhya, sangee,I were sort of together now. From the following week vidhya stopped going to canteen for lunch, seeing that we also stopped going for lunch(Days of starvation started from that moment).Everyday we just survived on the apples that my dad gave or the lunch which vidhya used to bring :( . Hellish days started for us in the form of daily tests( daily tests were conducted for 20 marks ,every day different subject).I was able to manage all the subjects except EG. Those EG tests were scheduled on Thursday,so every Thursday I used to bunk college and stay at home :D :P (Am really allergic to tests). But somehow I managed to scrape through in all the subjects( or else they ll insult you in front of everyone). For that atleast you need to get pass marks. Next day we had this PT class, that lady forced us to play either badminton or throw-ball.I opted for throw-ball as you need not do anything in a group..noone ll even bother whether you got a chance or not.Through PT classes I started talking with those north indian girls jyoti(joe) and kamakshi(kam). We six of us always hang out in a group. To be continued...... Love, Charan
