I do not believe only formal words or prayers give one forgiveness. God is omnipotent and knows the human heart and mind well. He does not need big words and long sentences to forgive. After all God is father and creator to all. I believe a contrite heart is forgiven by God.

@awan_raheel Of course, I agree. In Christian circles we call this being docile to the Holy Spirit of God. If today you hear god's voice, harden not your heart. As for me and my household, we will worship the Lord. What I was saying is that we cannot think a formal long and wordy prayer will bring about God's forgiveness. Any prayer whether formal or informal if done with a contrite heart will certainly move God to forgive. Ultimately, it's up to God if he will forgive or not. In fact, all that humans can offer God is a contrite heart. This is really the only thing acceptable to God from a fallen race of being who are prone to perversion. It is because He loves us that he chooses to reveal Himself to us. Just Him revealing himself to us "is" a blessing. Have you ever thought that God did not have to reveal himself to us? Not only this, but God has great, jealous, passionate love for his people. He elevates us to the status to call ourselves his "sons" and "daughters" if we obey his will. This really blows my mind from time to time when I reflect on this. I am enjoying this conversation with you. Have you ever pondered what a gift and privilege it means to be called a son of God or daughter of God?
