When people tell you to be yourself, do you actually know what they mean?
They are asking you to be a stereotype of yourself the perfectly rounded of creation of yourself. But why do we listen? Do we listen to conform, to be normal, meet expectations ourselves and others create, to reach the impossible standard society throws in our faces? But what they don't say is 'Don't Listen' to be yourself you have to truly understand what it means to be you. to ignore the world around you, act without the thought in the back of your head asking if this is okay? What do I say now? Just forget they even told you to be yourself, cause input encourages, change, the doubt your mind which you shouldn't have to listen to. So next time someone says 'Be Yourself' just say 'Well who else would I be.'
