Take a 10-30 minute walk every day. And while you walk, smile. It is the ultimate anti-depressant

Yes aerobic exercise reduces depression by up to 50 percent. Brisk Walking is good but if you have time you should engage in some sports such as soccer, tennis, badminton. Sports is not only good for body but also mind because it allows social interaction. If you can brisk walk with some friend, spouse , kids etc then it will be better. Also muscle strengthning at least 2 days a week is necessary. My exercise routine is 40 minutes vigorous badminton, 20 min jogging, 20 min brisk walk, 5 min stretching six days a week.
