One of the biggest challenges when it comes to writing an obituary is being in the right frame of mind to create a well written one. It is understandable that you are grieving the loss of someone close, and you are feeling a wide range of emotions at this moment. In addition to those emotions, you only have a few hours to really get the obituary together because things all happen within a few days. That obituary needs to not only be well written, it has to be completed most likely within the next twenty-four hours. While you are feeling tremendous pressure from all directions, here are a few things to consider to craft that well written obituary. The first thing to consider is that you are not the only person who is grieving at this very moment. Chances are there are other people who may be affected even more so than you. As tribute to the deceased, you have to step outside the situation for a little and take time to craft an obituary that will help to inform others about this person. Many people look to the obituary as condensed version of the life of the deceased. Some people save a copy to remind them of the special person that they lost, and they look upon those words very fondly. You simply must put an effort together to craft a short bio of the deceased that praises them for all they did and who they lovingly left behind. Simply start with a list of all the survivors left behind from the deceased. Then go on to list any major accomplishments like a military career or anything that made them stand out in their job. If they were active in the community, list all the organizations and clubs they were active members in. This is the place to really cast the deceased in the best possible light by showcasing their life in those few words. The words should be written lovingly and express deep gratitude towards everything that they did and accomplished during their time here. The obituary can end informing family and friends where the services will be help, and if donations are needed to be made to a local charity in lieu of sending flowers -
