What is an obd2 scanner? An obd2 scanner is an electronic tool that mechanics use it to evaluate problems with automobiles. More and more often these days, one of the most important pieces of a car is a computer. Whether it's a solenoid chip, or an on-board computer system, an scanning tool's job is to interface with the electronics and to figure out just what the difficulties with the car is.
