Treating Your Customers the Right Way

With the economy in the shape it is in right now there is nothing more important than the value you put in your customers. They are the backbone of your company. Without your customers there would be no company. That is the main reason for the saying "The customer is always right." Some may disagree, however the more customers you begin to tell are wrong the more customers you have who are no longer customers.
Some business owners know their value but just don’t know how to market it. That’s where business coaching in Cleveland is important and vital to the operations and success of a business.
The real problem...
Let's just say you have a retail store. You have a customer that is making a return, they do not have the receipt, they are so very rude to you, they have by this point made you just not want to deal with them.
So here are your choices - Turn them away with no return or return the item.
Okay let's say our own attitude got the best of us and we turned the customer away with no return. What happens next? Guaranteed the customer is mad and makes a scene in the store. Let's hope for once in our life the store is empty. After the customer leaves the store I am certain the rant continues to everyone they speak to for at least a week. So this solved absolutely nothing and we are certain to loose that customer and possibly every person that customer speaks to for the week!
Okay now let's say we kept our cool and made the return. Even if it is a complete loss, which it probably was not, it would not be that bad. The customer will calm down at this point and may even shop around and re-spend the money in your store. The customer will not make a scene in the store and for the next week the customer will tell nothing but good things of your store or say nothing at all. Both are better than horrible things about you and your store.
Anyway you choose to look at the service whether it be for returns, for checkouts or just being welcoming, the point is that there are so many places for customers to choose to spend their hard earned money. Make your business a place of value so customers will be retained over and over again.
