What do you think about this book? I find it good, to a point. But the real estate strategies are not applicable here in India, I feel. (Inspite of what Kiyosaki says, that they are applicable every where)

Are you from India? And have you applied the strategies? The problems in India are 1. Security of property you buy. No lawyer friend of yours will advise you to give out your flat on rent. 2. If you do not rent your flat out, how do you earn a decent amount to cover maintenance, taxes etc.? Appreciation alone cannot cover everything.

I have read many articles and RichDad from Robert Kiyosaki. What I learned from him more than real estate ( and I sell and invest in real estate), is that you have to get out of the mindset of working for someone else. You have to make it happen for yourself. Remember his real father was an educated school teacher and was relying on the government to take care of him. He was just barely getting by. His Rich Dad pushed him to develop other skills where he could be self sufficient. Having a business and or aquiring real estate....You can go to Yahoo and regularly read new articles from him. His wife Kim just published a new book called "Rich Woman" for women to read. Good luck

i've read the book, and i loved it!:) Although I'm not sure if it's really applicable anywhere... I guess you'll have a hard time applying the real estate ideas in places where the real estate industry is facing some problems... I guess it was also mentioned in the book that the real estate market is not that flourished nowadays... or something like that...
