With the inception of the Internet the whole world has fast become a global village, but until recently people were not so much obsessed with this technology. These days, a life without websites might as well be a caveman's because practically everything under the sun is paraded online on one website or the other. A coworker that had never lifted her fingers to do any cleaning was cleaning her work area this morning because she wanted to take pictures of her breakfast to post online! either on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram, all of which are different social websites.
A lot of people that would have lived all their lives in obscurity are now in the forefront of getting 'cheap' fame and becoming relevant, because they have the Internet platform to expose all they want to about themselves without any inhibitions. Some have even become authorities and experts enjoying various followerships from folks that believe in whatever it is they are expressing.
The inception of websites has also been very helpful to grow businesses because a lot of businesses have their presence online now on one or more different websites that people are easily able to access and also have the option of shopping on these websites in the comfort of their homes without having to physically visit the different businesses. This can be seen as having made life a lot easier and less complicated for busy people that are always squeezing in time to do everything.
The websites also help to expose a lot of societal ills faster these days than it used to be in the past that people had to depend on just the TV, Radio and newspapers to get the latest news about what's happening worldwide. The world of websites have changed that through all the different social media that people are able to connect to see all that is going on around them.
The only downside to the advent of these websites is the fact that a lot people are less interactive these days because they are busy selling themselves online to virtual friends and families in one form or the other like games, chat rooms, blogs, and so on. A life without websites will be meaningless to a whole lot of people nowadays because these websites have helped a lot of individuals to find their voices and discover hidden talents and yet a lot of people have been able to find self worth and purpose to their lives. So it can be said that life without websites will be different, perhaps back to the pre internet age, but still livable by all means.
