Why is it difficult to get US Visa?

Why is it very hard to get US VISA? When you say US VISA, its very nerve wrecking. Jus this morning, a lot of people got denied. Consuls are even using their microphones and shaming applicants. Iam one of the lucky ones that got a visa.. But, I feel bad for those applicants who werent given one, yet got the most traumatic experience there.

Maybe it is because it is all we can do to handle the 100s of children coming in over the Mexican border.
