The Process of Creating Art

I have recently started a new landscape painting. It is a commission for a campground in PA to hang in their check-in store. It has been a few weeks so far. I was sent a few photos to work from. I am having a difficult time getting the viewpoint right as well as the light source. I definitely spend equal amounts of time stepping back and staring at my work and actually working on it. This is an oil painting, a medium I haven't worked with all summer. There is very dim and awful lighting in my apartment, but I'm making it work. I also haven't done a landscape painting in a couple years, but so far I am proud of this one despite all the current errors. Any critique would be appreciated.
