what you think about the future of .net

although someone can say that I am exaggerating but i am little but confused with the future of .net as it is MS technology ... we all have seen upto now that every technology created by MS has either failed partially or completely ...
again this .net is logically very much similar to java. its just the simpler version of java... but its performance is very poor as compared with java ....
share your views on this ...

Hi,
Actually I think that .Net has great future. For your kind information that when a comparison was made between linux servers and latest windows servers the Windows 2003 Server was far ahead that of the linux version available then. I agree that the MS technologies up todate might have some performance lagging but then you should see the other part of the coin (User friendliness !!)

My dear coolestCoder,
You say User Friendliness - truth is hackers easieness ...
you say Performance lagging - truth is lack of performance ...
its seem rather radical to compare the past ... but its true that both of OSes has its own pros and cons ... but to be frank windows had and has more cons than linux
i think this topic is more suitable for the linux vs windows discussion (i already have it!)
Anyways thanks for your comments (and please dont take this harshly ... be cool! i just want to clear the things from your mind ... if you think that its me who needs to be get cleared; then you are welcome for it ;-) )
