With packsack on my back, I went on a trip to Xiamen for attaining some more new experiences different from the rigorous school life in this golden week. Known for its cultural sights and laid-back lifestyle, Xiamen boasts increasing popularity in recent years. Therefore, in order to taste that special feeling, I chose this city as my destination. My first halt was in Xiamen University where locates the most beautiful campus in China. For the sake of that, it becomes a neccessary scenic spot for millions of visitors coming to Xiamen every year. In the campus, even in holidays there were still many students holding books under bowers or by lake , seemed like immune to interference from the bustling crowds. It was certainly a massive uplift for me, promoting me to further meditate on my learning attitude and ignite my inner passion for learning. Essencially, what impressed me deepest in Xiamen University is the name "Furong", as "??" in Chinese, which means "Cottonrose Hibiscus“, a kind of flower bearing the spirit of holiness and pureness in the eyes of Chinese. Throughout the campus, cantees, roads and even the big lake have "??" in their names. How amazing! It also reminded me of a famous verse written by Li Bai, the poetic genius of Tang Dynasty. "?????,??????" In my unprofessional interpretation, it means that the cottonrose grows and flourishes from clear water and always remains its natural beauty, simple and unadorned. While strolling alongside the Furong Lake, I really felt embraced by the tranquility and calmness that this campus bestowed on me. If you want to be on a trip to Xiamen, I sincerely recommend Xiamen University for you! That would be a good choice.
