RAGGING- a mental harrasing crime

RAGGING As we know that robbery,murder etc, are counted in big crimes.There are strickt rules and regulation are made against it and if any body caught then he/she was strictly punished according to the law.I think there is a crime which is more serious than above mentioned,but our government and society takes it very lightly. After facing tough compitition,we get admitted to the good collage.Our parents and relative feels proud on us because our career is going to settle. If the collage/university is far away from our city then we have to leave our parents and settle in other city.At that time a student is suffering from pain of separation. This pain cannot be overcome fastly because we have the habbits of our parents and when they are with us then we are not afraid to die also.The place is unknown, the peoples are unknown and at that time we understand the importance of our parants. when we put our first step to the collage then we hear a sound of laughing of some students.They are called seniors.Some are commenting on our dress, some are on hair and some are on our posture.One of them came and buttoned our collar.Either they say us for sing and dance or they themself sing their own lyrics and dance by making our fun. I am not going here to describe the types ranging but the aim is similar that is mental harrshment.The student who is already suffering from the pain of separation and on the first day of collage he/she is mentally harrashed by their seniors. In this cirumstances what they do? If they commits sucide then it is not called sucide but it is murder which is done by their seniors. When students leave their parents,friends,place,they comes to unknown place and they understand that their own world is started where they have to take their own decision.But when they are harrashed by the other students(seniors) then they thinks that this world is full of his enamey.So,they want to quit this world and commite sucide. Some of the new comers are stops going to collage.Some wants to take revange from their seniors and joins local gangs.Some continue their collage but having the fear from their seniors in the corner of their heart.When they watch seniors,they tries to hide themself. The students who work hard in 11th,12th and after attemp a hard compitition they qualify and admitted to the good collage.After that their reward is given by the seniors for their hard work in the form of ranging. When the goverenment woke up,they makes some strict laws against ranging but the question is aries that Is this law is follows in all the collages?Only rules and regulation cannot stops the crime.We have to improve first. When a child admitted to school in pre nursary,he/she watch their parents in their techers.When a student join the collage,he/she watch their parents in their seniors.They wants a perfect guidance from their seniors but instead of guide them,seniors starts enjoying with new comers and making fun of them. I want to ask a question that if their own brother or sister comes as a new comers then they also harrashed them? NO,but they stops their friends also to not make fun of his brothers and sisters. Is they telling a lie on every morning upto 12 years during the pladge that 'All indians are my brothers and sisters'?If NOT,then how can they harrashed their own brothers and sisters?and If YES,then who give them right to harrashed other's bothers and sisters? The process of ragging is running from very early and it will be continue in future if we keep silent.Senior batch do ranging with jouniors because they says "our senior are also does the same with us,so it is our chance to enjoy".After that the next batch also do the same and the process will be continue. If we want to break this continuty then all the new comers should unite and forms Anti Ragging Group(ARG).This group should be in contact of local police.Every collage have ARG in which jouniors and seniors,both types of students should included. In the age of social media the formation of any group is not difficult.Before joining the collage,all the new comers should unite to from ARG in which collage management should also help. I am not saying to separate jouniors and seniors but seniors should also help to form these types group.The senior should behave with jouniors like their younger brothers or sisters and jouniors should give respect to their seniors as their elder brothers and sister.
