Role Model

Years back, at the beginning of high school, we were asked to do a written assignment about famous personality (Past or Present) that we aspire to be like. I chose Margaret Bourke-White: an American photographer & journalist who lived between 1904 to 1971. Margaret was the first western photographer that was allowed to go into the USSR, the first woman that was photographer & journalist at "Life" magazine, the first woman who was a wars reporter and the first photographer that was allowed to work at the battlefield during world war 2. Obviously you can probably understand from my choice that I was really into photography and I wanted it to be the thing that I will do "when I grow up". over the time my passion went from photography to health and in the last 5 years or so I decided I want to be a Nutritionist. photography is still something that I really love doing just not as a job. still, I will always remember Margaret (and many other powerful women along the history that I will write about in the next posts) as my first famous role model.
