Why do Gay men wear feminine accessories?

Some of my college buddies are gay men. It is perfectly ok to be one. But, sometimes I notice them wearing not only feminine clothes but accessories too. I found it to be very strange. Wearing a long ear ring or light lipstick is not that cool. I mean, why they do it?

Why don't you ask them? Not all gay men do this. Maybe those particular men are trans/genderqueer, etc. Not everybody chooses to let themselves be defined by their genitalia.
By the way, fashion is a societal thing. The stuff you call fem today (high heels, blouses, tights, etc.) were common fashion for men. Men have also been wearing earrings for a lot longer than women have. Make up was also not just a thing for females to wear.
People should be able to wear what they choose, not what society decides for them.

Yeah, but people who live like that risk being kicked out of society & living like Count Dracula (reclusing to a castle & never being welcome when seen)
Those particular gay men have accepted the responsibility of 'prettying themselves up' for their intended mates.

@mythociate We didn't advance as far as we didn't by worrying about things like that. Somebody needs to take risks for all of us to improve.

@cupkitties Oh, Dracula 'improved' (immortal life, a bevy of buxom babes in forever worship at his undying beck-and-call); but "society" hardly advanced at all (in Bram Stoker's fictional universe ... in the real world, Stoker's fiction helped create a cool 'clique' for otherwise antisocial people to fit into).
It's true that people 'take risks' & 'sacrifice their comforts' to help the world advance, but no one wants to be a hero like that! Conflict is tiring! A person would much rather be at peace with the world around em than strive to 'not fit' (if you're a square peg trying to fit through a round hole, it's much easier for everyone if you can shave yourself round than -if you blast through the blockade without permission!)

Because ,they want to attract another guy.and make the straight become a new gay .so here are more and more gay in the world. When the gay's number is more than the straights ,the straights will be discriminated! haha
