I would have to say Gandhi...he kinda messed stuff up at the end of his time but I believe this was no dirrect fault of his own. I believ that the people of his time were not completely ready to see the world through the eyes and mind of Gandhi. He injected a great idea into humanity and that was Non-agressive resistance. If we could all posess his patience and unwaivering non-judgmentalness we would be eons ahead as a human culture. Ask questions, search for "right", fight for the truth....complex ideas from a simple man, what a beautiful oxymoron.
Peace to every living thing

You all have great answers; I would say Jesus Christ too; I'd also say Martin Luther King Jr.as well; some great men were on this planet and gave to it.

If yuor talking scientifically I think Nikola Tesla was much farther ahead of Einstein. The greatest human period would be a tuff call there are alot of great men(and women) who have tried to make the world a better place to live.

My Ultimate Answer would have to be Jesus Christ. When you compare other men, and things in this world, nothing can compare. Where would we be without Jesus?
