vinegar is not a condiment in our daily lives, but also helps to stimulate the appetite.
in ancient China, there's an interesting story about the empress regent in the Tang Dynasty.Wu zetian. She made Luoyang the capital of her empire. one day, she felt sick and lost her appetite, besides, her belly was swolien and discomfortable. treatments by the imperial physicians, all proved to be ineffective. Wu zetian became discontented, and had one of physicians beheaded. then a Taoist priest presented to her vinegar made from millet from Louyang.several days after taking the vinegar, she actually recovered.
