it is possible, but it is very difficult to find really your soulmate on the net!

I met my girlfriend online and we have been together for more than 2 years now. I think it's not an illusion... i think more and more people are into it, it's the new era of dating and making friends :D

i guess there's no straight answer for that as the outcome depends largely on the persons involved. the hard part in this thing, i guess, is that there's not assurance on the other person's sincerity. they could just be putting up a front and it's hard to distinguish that when you've only got words. i mean, they're just words right? but yeah, a friend of mine actually got married to this great guy she met online coz they were in it for the right reasons. so yeah, good luck in finding that person then!

I know one of my friend finding his soulmate in in the net that is in orkut, then they become friends and then lovers and nowin the next year or so theya re getting maried..(when months ago they have decided to meet each other and they like each other and found as found each other in the okut and their personality and they are now in real life...in love...

well actually YES I do know someone who continually finds her boyfriends on the internet. As a matter of fact she and her first husband met on the internet and within 6 weeks of meeting on internet, met in person and 4 weeks after that they were engaged, I think she had a very small wedding as they got married within 6 months of getting engaged, they lasted about 2 years and then got divorced, then she went back to online dating and met two people that way, one whom she dated for 2 years and another who she dated for only 6 months, I have not heard where she is at now but she does like to meet her significant others via internet dating

I don't think I could date someone online. It's just not for me. I did once and it turned out really horrible. I would find it hard to trust someone I date online.

I think it's prefectly possible to meet someone through the internet. My (adult) son met someone a while back this way.
