Black Holes

What is a black hole? Well, its not what you are thinking if you are a 13 year old boy screwing around in your science class ;). It's actually something that can be produced from the very thing that gives us life and what makes our days and our world go round. How a black hole is made is very simple actually. When a star runs out of fuel, it collapses under its own weight because it simply cannot hold it up anymore, much like if you were to be lifting something heavy and you just couldn't hold it up anymore and you let it plumage to the ground. When this occurs there is so much matter that has nothing to cling on to anymore that it implodes. Implosion is the opposite of an explosion. That my friends is for a whole other post. When this implosion occurs it becomes a black whole that can swallow any matter that is in the radius around it. The matter that is sucked into this black hole is shot out of the back of the hole in the form of pure energy. Black holes defy anything we know about the laws of physics. Time stops, space makes no since in a black hole. NOT EVEN light can escape the grasp of a a black hole, In the middle of every galaxy is a giant black hole. And that black hole is what makes the galaxies look as if they are swirling or rotating towards the middle. In the very very very very very very distant future if our star does not collapse and swallows us which is more likely to happen than this, We will eventually reach the black hole in the center of our galaxy " The Milky Way". They are truly wonderful and frighting things that exist in our universe. Remember everyone, "The truth.... Is much stranger than scifi."
